You Get What You Plan For

A new year is a few days away. Are you ready? Do you have a grasp on what you want to accomplish in the coming year? Twelve months from now, what would you like to be celebrating? What would make this new year the BEST year ever for you and your business?

If you are like many, you might not have a clear picture of where you are aiming. Don’t feel alone; this is more common than you may think — but it doesn’t mean you should remain with the mediocre crowd! Now is the time to get serious about where you are going and how you will get there.

I encourage you to dedicate some quiet time to prepare for a new year.  In the midst of all the rush of the holidays, make it priority to sit down and reflect on what you have accomplished over the past 12 months. Was it what you wanted? Did you achieve what you set out to do? Were there roadblocks you overcame, or are the same ones still staring at you? If you could go back and change one thing about the past year, what would it be? Does this obstacle still stand in your way of accomplishing great things in the new year? If so, become very intentional about the changes necessary.

Nothing changes if nothing changes, right? If you stay the same as you are now, won’t you keep getting the same results?

Take these four steps to make the new year the BEST year yet:

  1. Determine what you specifically want and need to accomplish, and put your goals in written form.
  2. Think about what will prevent you from accomplishing your goals — then write those things down, too.
  3. Now brainstorm and strategize about what it will take to eliminate obstacles and truly move the ball forward in your business.
  4. Lastly, find an accountability partner who will keep you focused — I can help you with that!
